What about CVIP Inspections?
If you own a commercial trailer, you are required to carry a valid CVIP Inspection at all times. All commercial vehicles, as defined by the National Safety Code (NSC), require an annual commercial vehicle inspection (CVIP).
All jurisdictions recognize CVIPs of each participating province or territory and, except in rare circumstances, will accept the host jurisdiction’s inspection to be equivalent to the inspection mandated by their legislation.
If you are the registered owner of a commercial vehicle(s), you must ensure that all vehicles have this required inspection completed according to government regulations. Section 19 of the Vehicle Inspection Regulation (AR 211/2006) requires all commercial vehicles to have a valid inspection certificate and decal. The driver of a commercial vehicle must be able to produce the inspection certificate on the request of an investigator or peace officer.
